Well, here we go!
Whew, now that I got that first sentence out of the way the pressure is off. If you know me, you might be wondering what prompted me to start writing a blog. The answer is pretty simple, actually. A few months ago my husband Jesse started his own blog. The other day I had an interesting conversation with our daughter. When it was done I told him that conversation had sounded like something he would have used as a blog topic. He quickly replied, "Why don't you write about it in your own blog?"
Well, let's see....I can think of around 38 reasons why I shouldn't. Since I know you don't want to hear all 38 reasons I'll just give the answer of LIFE. I am slightly embarrassed to say that because I know many others that have a MUCH busier schedule than I do, but I still often feel like there are never enough hours in a day. I know probably 98% of you reading this feel the same way. So, if my relatively small-town Minnesota life has me strapped for time, why do something else? Simply put, because there are times I feel like my mind is running in a million different directions and I thought writing them down might help direct the traffic so to say.
You might wonder why I titled this blog "Clearly Clarified." Apparently I like to clarify things. I'm not even sure how long this has been a characteristic of mine, but I know it came out full-force when I was an Admissions Counselor at MLC. I really dislike controversy or anything of the sort, so I tend to clarify things so as not to offend someone. Eventually it got to the point that whenever I would clarify something, several of my co-workers would sing out in a high falsetto, "Clarifier!"
With that being said, let me just clarify that I won't pretend to think that anything I write will be earth-shattering, entertaining, witty, controversial, etc. Let me clarify that I'm not a professional writer. Let me clarify that I don't claim to know everything about the topics I will write about. I think you get the idea, so I'll just stop there before I clarify myself into a tizzy.
In the end, I'm a wife and a mother of two that works two jobs that just might have a random thought or two to jot down. So, without further ado, I'll just get started on this crazy blogging adventure.
Sarah
